Photo Realism project of a snow leopard with the phrase "Gone in the blink of an eye" to communicate that snow leopards are on the verge of extinction.

When researching photo realism I looked at various items and objects that people had drawn and noticed that not many people had drawn animals, so I decided to be different and go with a snow leopard, the reason for this was I had watched an advert on the TV from WWF which stated that there where only 3,000 snow leopards left in the world, which to me was very sad because I have 3 cats at home and to see members of the cat family on the brink of extinction I felt a lot of empathy and sadness so I wanted to create a piece that really struck from the heart, I first research slogans to do with extinction and I went with "Gone in the blink of an eye" as that is what it feels like, so then to visually communicate that I went on the draw the snow leopards eye and fur around the eye, the piece overall the piece has taken around 72 hours to complete and combined with the hours of research and time actually saving the document because its so large it took around 103 hours to complete
